We were able to host our first event with a second grade class at a local elementary school in the Las Vegas Valley! We presented a video about the Sun and helped the kids learn about the characteristics that make our Sun special. They specifically learned about photosynthesis, nuclear fusion, and how to view the Sun safely. After the presentation, we were able to give students personalized pictures of the Sun from my solar telescope and a goody bag filled of candy!
