The Pleiades Star Cluster

The Pleiades Star Cluster, also known as M45 or the Seven Sisters, is an open star cluster located in the constellation Taurus. Because it is only around 44 light years away , it is the brightest Messier object in the sky and can be seen from almost everywhere on Earth. In many locations, the Seven Sisters appears in the sky as a large blur resembling the Big Dipper. Pleiades is also classified as a reflection nebula because of the surrounding gases that are lit up by the extremely bright blue stars. These uniquely bright stars create the cloudy wisps surrounding the nebula, making it one of my favorite deep sky objects to look at in the sky.
