Thor’s Helmet, also known as NGC 2359, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Canis Major. Its unique helmet shape and two horn-like features make this nebula resemble one of the most famous Marvel Avengers Thor, hence the name.Personally, its cool name and unique aqua color make it one of my favorite nebulas to view in pictures. However, because it is so dark and far away from us, it is extremely hard to see with the naked eye or even through a telescope. Thor’s Helmet is located around 12 light years away from Earth and is estimated to be around 30 light years in size.
