A few days ago, I was able to capture the supermoon even though it was cloudy! This image of the moon consists of one high exposure for the colors in the clouds and one low exposure for the details on the moon. At least in Vegas, there was no sign of the Moon being pink, disappointing many of my close friends and family. A supermoon occurs almost 4 times a year and is the result of a full moon occurring when the Earth is extremely close to the Moon in orbit. When this occurs, the moon not only appears enlarged, but is a lot brighter, creating one of the most beautiful lunar events to look forward to every year!
